Today was the day. It's back to school for the Big Ones.

is in 8th grade.
While this one with wild hair...
goes back to school next week!
The summer of 2012 has unofficially wrapped up. Truly, I'm not going to miss this one. While for my little family, it was a typical summer with work, band, swimming, camps, backpacking, yardwork, nagging mom, etc., it's been a hard summer for many of my friends--- divorces and separations, lost jobs, lost homes, illnesses (both the nasty acute kind and the long-term chronic life threatening kind). So good-bye summer 2012 and may the rest of the year be kinder!
