Figuratively. All growing season, I've been whining about the deer who ate my garden. Until yesterday, I'd only seen evidence of the four legged intruder- hoof prints, chewed off plants, and poop, but now the deer has been seen. I looked out a family room window yesterday, and there it was- a 3-prong buck munching on a tomato plant. The windows were open, and I was trying to be silent as I crept over to the counter to grab my camera, but Mr. Buck heard me. We had a stare down. I won. He lowered his heard , then raised it back up as if to say, "up yours", then nonchalantly sauntered over to the rock retaining wall, climbed up, and disappeared.
