Dentist Visit

You know your insurance company processes claims fast when they've paid the bill before I've blogged about the dentist visit.  A week and a half ago, the boys had their semi-annual dentist visit.  It magically and coincidentally coincided with "Dentist Week" at Miles' preschool.  Miles has never enjoyed going to the dentist.  It's been traumatic for him and I've been impressed that the dentist has been able to "examine" Miles' teeth and complete the visit with all 10 of his fingers intact.  They haven't been able to take x-rays or even brush Miles' teeth before.  This visit was very different.  He got his teeth cleaned; he had x-rays taken, the dentist was able to put the mirror in Miles' mouth, and while he was very apprehensive, Miles didn't scream!  He wasn't happy about the visit, but he did great.  We'll attribute the successful visit to consistent office visits, a bit of maturity, and the unexpected help from his preschool talking about going to the dentist.
