Without a doubt, lilacs are lovely. However, I hate them! Last week I commented, "The lilacs are about to bloom." I was right. How did I know? The clues- watery eyes, itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezes, constant dull headache. Hay fever. The lovely flowers that don't love me. Fortunately, they have a short blooming season!
