Home Improvement of the Week
I hope this parting is mutually pleasing. Our relationship has been rocky for over a year now. To be clear, I have hated you from the moment I first saw you. I hope you (and your two ugly friends that we also replaced) enjoy your new life at the Habit for Humanity donation center.
Sincerely,
Laura

Tickles His Funny Bone
My friend gave me a CD of fun kids songs. One track on it is about making an ice cream sundae that is big enough to fill a swimming pool. It's a cute song and Miles loves it! Today we had to go to Pleasant Grove to pick up Miles. We heard the song 3.75 times before we got to where Nolan was. Miles laughed the whole way to PG while this song played over and over again. Good thing it's not annoying!

And He Sleeps With...
In my previous post, I took pictures of Miles sleeping in his favorite position. More on sleeping Miles... Most little ones like to sleep with some sort of a comfort item... blanket, stuffed animal, or maybe (as my bigger boys preferred) a truck or train. Not Miles. He sleeps with his current love... rocks.

He Sleeps
Miles has a favorite sleeping position. It's tummy-down, bum-up, curled in a ball, hands between the legs.Check out his diaper...
For some reason, Huggies has released a limited edition Jeans diaper. Obviously it's blue, complete with faux-stitched seams, pockets, and a fly. Fortunately it functions like their normal diapers! I think it's silly to have "fashion diapers" because 90+% of the time, diapers are covered with pants!

One Happy Camper
Want to see what an 11-year old who had a great time at Clear Creek Summer Camp looks like?Nolan came home yesterday! He had a blast. He had lots to tell us about his week, unfortunately, he was so grouchy... I guess a week of sleep deprivation will do that to you! Nolan trapped a potgut (ground squirrel),
called coyotes, collected flowers, identified trees, went on a 5-mile hike, learned about coal mining, visited the "town" of Scofield (Jonathan says Scofield is a "hamlet")`, earned 3 merit badges, played games, ate food, sang crazy songs, and learned about "gun shows" (muscle flexing) and how to belly dance!
He impressed me... he actually showered every morning! I asked him what they did in their cabin at night and he said there was a lot of burping, passing gas, and general potty talk. Oh, 11 year old boys...
Nolan received a special award at Clear Creek. He earned the "Outstanding Camper Award"! The boys got to vote for whomever they though deserved the award. Nolan was one of 3 boys recognized for being awesome!

You Know He's Too Old When...
Confession... Miles isn't completely weened yet. I still feed him 2x per day... before nap and bed. There... don't like it?... not your baby! Anyway, good story...
Last night I had to play assistant 11-year old scout leader. The scouts meet at the church. I was there with Miles and Dan and the wild boys. Miles was fussy. He motioned that he wanted to go down the hall. I assumed he wanted to go to the nursery and play toys. I followed Miles down the hall. He stopped in front of the Mother's Lounge. He knocked on the door... I opened it and followed him inside. He went over and climbed onto a chair and signed "milk". No way. He didn't get what he wanted, but I sure was amused. Yes, it's time to get rid of the last two feedings, at least by the time he's seven!
